Introduction to Chapter 26 Home Care Rules

This program gives you an introduction to Chapter 26 home care regulations for Homemaker and Personal Care Worker (PCW) duties.

You will learn about the roles of both Homemakers and PCWs. The regulations explain which tasks Homemakers are allowed to do and which tasks PCWs are allowed to do.

The main job of both Homemakers and PCWs is to give quality care and support to clients. These services are important for the client’s health, independence, and overall well-being.

To provide quality care, you must:

  • Know your duties.

  • Complete your tasks every day to the best of your ability.

  • Respect the client’s choices about how and when they want tasks done.

  • Keep clients safe.

  • Learn and follow your employer’s policies and procedures.
