Assignment and Supervision

In this part of your training, you’ll learn what assignment and supervision mean in home care.

When you are assigned to a client, it means your agency has chosen you to help that person based on their needs and preferences. You are not just picked at random—your skills, training, and schedule are matched to the client to make sure it’s a good fit.

Supervision means someone is checking in to make sure the care is going well. Your supervisor will help you stay on track, make sure you follow the care plan, and give you support if you have questions or problems.

Knowing who you’re assigned to and who is supervising your work helps keep everyone safe, supported, and working as a team.
